Everything You Need To Know About The Bloodshot Movie

Sony Pictures, Bloodshot is a treat to watch a superhero action film, having some incredible action-adventure scenes without long boring car chases.

Synopsis 

Directed by David S.F. Wilson, Bloodshot is the first installment in the series of films set within a Valiant Comics shared cinematic universe. Adapting the character from valiant comics, it tells the story of U.S Marine ray Garrison, who killed in action. However, he is brought back to life. He gets superhuman powers after a nanotechnology experiment by an organization that wants to use him as a weapon.

With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, more solid Ray Garrison gets a new lease on life and becomes an unstoppable force. With his power to heal instantly and bear attacks, he has become formidable and stronger than ever. And after getting superhuman powers and new abilities, Garrison went after the man who killed his wife, or least to say, who the marine believes killed his wife. But when the organization (who resurrected marine Ray Garrison) decides to manipulate his memories and mind, he commences a desperate mission and soon finds out that everything he learns cannot be trusted. 

The story of this superhero action film capitalizes on the audience’s knowledge of this genre. The director tried to give something fresh that most audiences are not aware of. Before the Valiant Comics, there were two big Comic houses Marvel and DC, and Hollywood was deep into the superhero movie trend. Hence, the audience was already aware of what superhero films have to offer, and some fans were even getting tired of origin stories. Therefore, this franchise needed to give something new, and this is what the director David S.F. brings to the table. In the superhero origin story, he puts a surprisingly clever spin on the film. And along with a compelling story and incredible direction Diesel’s performance ultimately takes it to new heights.

Release Date and Box Office Earning

Bloodshot released in the United States on March 13, 2020. The film grossed $10 million even in the COVID-19 situation. Later, the studio releases the film in Canada and other parts of the world. And against the production budget of $45 million, the film manages to earn $37.3 million worldwide. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and closure of theaters, Sony Picture Entertainment also made the film available on digital streaming services. After the release, the film manages to earn mixed reviews from the audience and critics.

Apart from Vin Diesel’s performance, the film’s fast-paced and ever-changing storyline was the talk of the town. However, some critics are not happy with its ending, and they think the film is not worth the effort. 

The Sequel of The Film

Besides this, the Bloodshot is likely to have a sequel. According to the official statement, there would be two films based on the comic Harbinger and then a crossover film titled Harbinger Wars. In March 2020, director David S.F Wilson also stated that Valiant is planning to build the franchise from Bloodshot. And in the upcoming films, Vin Diesel will play one of the main roles. Later in November 2020, after the official announcement of the Bloodshot sequel, confirmation came that Diesel is going to reprise his role.
