The Witcher Season 2 has introduced a number of new characters, one of them in Nivellen. The Drama Series debuted on Netflix back in December 2019 and the first season caught so much attention of viewers. The popularity of books along with videogame adaptations made Netflix realize what it had with the series. That is the reason why The Witcher is renewed for another season.
Main Characters of The Witcher Season 2
The Witcher’s team decided to proceed the stories written by Andrzej Sapkowski in a different way. The Witcher Season 2 has three main characters in different locations who’ll meet at a point later. These characters include Geralt of Rivia (played by Henry Cavill), who is a monster hunter called as “Witcher”. Second one is Yennefer of Vengerberg (played by Anya Chalotra), who is a strong sorceress. Third one is Ciri (Freya Allan) and she is the crown princess of Cintra. The Witcher Season 2 will keep on exploring the stories of these characters and will introduce new characters as well.
Nivellen:
One of the Characters who will appear in Season 2 is Nivellen (played by Kristofer Hivju). Nivellen was leading a gang of killers. While the gang was robbing a temple in Gelibol, the gang forced Nivellen to rape the young priestess of Coram Agh Tera. The priestess went on to kill herself but before doing that, she spat on the leader’s face. She also cursed Nivellen for becoming a “Monster in a Monster’s Skin”. Nivellen started to feel the changes in his body few days later but he was same inside. He couldn’t free himself from the curse even though the priestess told him a way to do that.
Nivellen met Geralt twleve years after the curse when Witcher started investigating the murders of a merchant and his companion. However, in the last month of 2020, a page was shared by Netflix containing script for second season’s first episode. Another character named Vareena (played by Agnes Bjorn), will fall in love with Nivellen. Vareena is a kind of vampire having dark hair. All in all, things will get more and more complicated in the coming season of The Witcher.
Final Words
The Witcher Season 2 will introduce so many characters including the monsters. However, Nivellen’s case is exceptional because of that curse. It is up-to the viewers now to decide if Nivellen is still a monster or he has learned his lesson. Moreover, his survival will also be confirmed after the very first episode of Season 2.
