Supergirl: All Five Seasons Ranked by Ratings on IMBD

As the sixth season is on air and a lot happened in the past 5 seasons, if you are planning to see the Supergirl series, we are here to help you. Check out our list from best to not-so-best seasons of Supergirl as per the ratings of IMDB.

Supergirl Season -1

Overall Rating: 7.75

Number of Episodes: 20

Best Episodes:     Worlds Finest – 8.7 / 10

Falling: 8.6 / 10

Overview and Verdict:

There’s sincerity in season-1 that quite appealing. Supergirl season-1 is an overall charming show. It’s no way near perfection, but it’s a fun ride, hilarious at times, and one can recommend it to friends and families.

We can say that the maiden season lacks many important aspects — namely its villains and subplots – however, Supergirl herself was spot-on, and the story presented quite a few unexpected twists.

Yes, not all episodes were up to the mark, but when the season-1 flew, it soared, particularly in terms of emotional impact. The Best part of Season-1 happened in Episode-7, When, Supergirl (Kara Danvers) momentarily lost her superpower and became sentimental about it.

She talks with James Olsen, he reiterates to her about the significance of not giving up. In a different scene involving a robber, Kara reminds us at the core. People are good-hearted.

Supergirl Season -2

Overall Rating: 7.62

Number of Episodes: 22

Best Episodes: The Adventures of Supergirl- 8.3 / 10

The Last Children of Krypton-8.1 / 10

Overview and Verdict:

Supergirl has an interesting second season. This season looks into Kara’s existence as a person outside of her superpowers. She fell in love, got a reporter’s job, and started finding her own identity. This season has a lot to offer, like Kara teaming up with Cousin Superman, and she and James determined that they are well off as friends.

Kara and her friends deal with a squabble between Earth’s native populace and outer space community and investigate Cadmus’s project, conceived by Lilian Luthor, Lex Luthor’s mother.

Season 2 has a blend of love, drama, and emotions. It’s a joy ride everyone wants to hop on.

Supergirl Season -3

Overall Rating: 7.46

Number of Episodes: 23

Best Episodes: Crisis on Earth-X, Part 1 – 8.8 /10

Reign-8.5 /10

Overview and Verdict:

Honestly, I feel not as good as Season-1 or season-2, but season-3 did well to surprise us with some good character expansion, action sequences, and overall good visual effects. For, season finale, we can say that most of the puzzle pieces in the story juxtaposed satisfactorily. The biggest highlight of the season is when Kara draws energy from those around her.

In the season, Kara, on a personal level, struggles with the vacuum of Mon-El after he is forced to abandon Earth. Kara and Alex’s new friend, Samantha, finds out that she is a Kryptonian survivor too and begins a makeover from a caring and loving single mother into the world-killing machine known as Reign.

Supergirl Season – 4

Overall Rating: 7.37

Number of Episodes: 22

Best Episodes: Elseworlds, Part 3 – 8.3 / 10

The House of L – 8.3 / 10

Overview and Verdict:

The series eventually paid the dividend on Season 3’s cliffhanger. Kara learns that Agent Liberty and Eve Teschmacher are nothing more than just pawns of Lex Luthor. After dodging Superman’s archenemy for years, the series not only brought Lex into the season but also transformed him into the foremost season-ending villain that the series truly needed.

Supergirl’s fourth season is without a doubt stronger to date, courtesy, the big part to the intensive attempts to make up for the lack of gripping villains in the past. The finale episode covering up the saga of Red Daughter, Agent Liberty, and Lex Luthor while building up Lena Luthor to become Kara’s furthermost enemy yet.

Kara deals with the indication of anti-extraterrestrial biased covertly prompted by Lex Luthor from prison, forcing her to fight for aliens’ rights. Col. Healey and the President try to force Supergirl to disclose her identity and causing the grudge to shoot up when she denied it.

Supergirl Season -5

Overall Rating: 7.34

Number of Episodes: 19

Best Episodes: It’s Super Life – 8.8 / 10

Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One – 8.6 /10

Overview and Verdict:

The fifth season is overall good, but I figure the season was chaos. The plot was over the top. It was similar to the fourth season- there was too much going on the screen. Brainy’s storyline put off his inhibitors and then took a side with Lex was certainly one of the least favorites of the season.

Largely, the fifth season of Supergirl was a ted of a mess. The plot was confusing, and we wished we could spend more time on Kara and Lena’s companionship than Lex and Leviathan.

In the finale, Kara and her friends find themselves opposite a fresh danger known as Leviathan. Kara slowly moved on to her new life on the recently created “Earth-Prime”. While, being forced to work under Lex and Leviathan, they keep on doing their secret operations under Gamemnae.

So, this was the list guys, which season is your favorite, please share your views with us on tripple 10. Thanks.
