NBC has renewed the American sitcom TV-series Young Rock for season 2. The co-creators of the show are Dwayne Johnson and Nahnatchka Khan. The series has focused on different parts of the famous American actor and WWE wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life. The series has shown how Johnson grew up around some of the professional wrestlers, the reasons for him to struggle in high school days, and how he became a footballer at the University of Miami. All in all, the show has revealed all the key moments for which he’s known as The Rock today.
Is Dwayne Johnson the Next US President?
The show has also featured a scene where Johnson makes a bid for President in the year 2032. This has made some of the biggest names from US comedy history curious including Stephen Colbert. This seems like Johnson is looking forward to being a politician in the near future which will be an interesting move. This curiosity will continue and Young Rock Season 2 may tell a bit more about it.

Young Rock’s Renewal
Deadline has just reported that Young Rock is going to be renewed for its season 2 at NBC. Since its debut in February this year, it has remained the second most-rated TV show. NBC’s Sunday Night Football remained the first without a doubt with almost 17 million viewers. Besides this, the viewers have appreciated the cast’s performances as well as the storytelling approach.
Different Characters Who Played “The Rock”
Adrian Groulx has represented a 10-years old Johnson. He has shared some emotional moments with none other than the Great “Andre The Giant”. Bradley Constant took over the role of The Rock at age 15. He has excellently highlighted the troubles Johnson had to face in his high school. Moreover, Johnson’s devotion to his family was another notable thing in the series which made the fans emotional. After that, Uli Latukefu has taken over the role of The Rock as a sports icon.
He’s also going to reunite with Dwayne Johnson on Black Adam as well. Most probably, Young Rock Season 2 will continue the same story in order to let the fans know how Dwayne Johnson got converted to The Rock. Season 2 may also reveal more about Rocky Johnson (played by Joseph Lee Anderson) and Ata Johnson(played by Stacey Leilua).

If the series stays for a longer period of time, viewers will get to see Johnson becoming WWE’s “The Rock”. But this is only associated with how long the series goes. However, if the series gets a few more seasons, we may see Dwayne Johnson’s precious time in Hollywood. The first season was just a teaser having 11 episodes. It didn’t clearly explain everything regarding Dwayne Johnson’s life. Another reason is that 11 episodes aren’t enough to cover an unending story of Johnson. Young Rock Season 2 is going to clear more doubts regarding his life both as a person and as a sportsman.
