The long-awaited cut of Jack Snyder’s Justice League is just around the edge, and we’ll soon be able to watch it on HBO Max on March 18 at last after years of campaigning.
As the previous release of Justice League in 2017 was met with serious criticism. Fans claimed that if Jack Snyder would’ve continued with his contribution to the movie, then it would’ve turned out to be better.
This call of fans was answered as Snyder confirmed the release of his version in 2020, and finally, the wait is over.
Besides this, HBO Max released the final justice league trailer of the upcoming DCEU movie on Sunday 14th February 2021. Here’s what we think about it.
What Does Snyder’s Version Offer? Is It Worth It?
So what exactly is Snyder’s vision for this DCEU movie? How does he make it unique and compelling? Well, Snyder has picked up the story from Batman vs. Superman, where we witness the death of Superman on Doomsday.
But wait, Snyder doesn’t exclude Superman from the movie. I mean, how can a DC movie complete without the character of Superman?
Instead, Snyder has shot new footage for Superman’s resurrection as the trailer starts with the death of Superman from Batman vs. Superman and later moves on to the resurrection of the character. This makes it clear that Superman is going to work with the other superheroes of DC to save the world.
That’s not it, Snyder also brings back the role of Jared Leto in the movie. He’s seen reprising his role of the Joker from the movie: Suicide Squad.
Moreover, the overall theme of the film is chosen to be dark, moody, and aesthetic, which gives it a very appealing look and the story too. Even superman’s costume redesigned to a black suit giving the character a more sharp look.
Along with Superman (Henry Cavill) and the Joker, we’ll be seeing Ben Affleck’s Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in action too, accompanied by the other characters of DC, which include Jason Momoa as Aqua Man and Jay Fisher as Cyborg.
Furthermore, the character of Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg also returns. The trailer itself starts from the voice-over of Luthor’s character, indicating an upcoming battle that may bring destruction to the world.
Moving on later in the trailer, this threat to the world reveals, which is Steppenwolf. Snyder’s version also reveals the face of Darkseid. In the trailer Steppenwolf’s character is witnessed meeting Darkseid on their planet Apokolips.
As the trailer continues to play, we see Batman on the quest of finding heroes and people that could bring together to build an army against Steppenwolf and the Apokolipians. This leads to the revelation of the other DC characters like the Flash and the Amazons (family of Wonder Woman).
Justice League Trailer Verdict:
The movie looks like an absolute source of entertainment from its trailer. It seems that finally, a Justice League movie will release that actually feels like one. It’ll be interesting to see how Ben Affleck gathers all the DC heroes and fight against Steppenwolf to save earth from destruction.
Moreover, the movie is quite rich and aesthetic in terms of storyline and visuals. There are tons of extra footage and new footage added in this version of Zack Snyder. I have a gut feeling that it will be the best Justice League movie by far.
