Since medical masks are quite common in South Korea, especially in the days of pandemics, but the Recruiter still wants to be recognized in public. Also, he feels like his smiling face is his mask.
Squid Games are all about keeping VIPs happy by playing murder-murder with each other. The Recruiter’s job is just to bring those players into the game by trapping them. That’s why he’s not wearing a mask and always has a smile to convince others.
The players choose wealth over their lives and ultimately end up losing both. Expressions of players have also got a huge role to play in Squid Game just like Player 212. His age is mysterious and his antics have made the show more interesting. The way the Recruiter got rid of Gi-hun is another major reveal that season 2 will have much more.
