Introduction to Sweet Tooth and Jeff Lemire
Netflix has just released the trailer of the TV series Sweet Tooth. The first issue of this post-apocalyptic novel (written by Jeff Lemire) was released in 2009 by Vertigo. A religious deer boy is the main character of this novel.
The series continued to span the issues and concluded with “Home Sweet Home” back in 2013. Another issue that has been scheduled in August by Jeff Lemire is Sweet Tooth. Netflix has shown keen interest in this issue and decided to release its trailer despite the pandemic situation and continuous arrival of other new series.
Sweet Tooth Release Date
Apart from releasing the trailer, Netflix has also confirmed the release date for the show. The Tooth is going to be released in June 2021. James Brolin is the narrator of the story. The trailer has introduced some of the key players from Sweet Tooth Universe.
Christian Convery has played the role of Sweet Tooth in the series and is forced to leave his forest home right after his father’s death. In his journey, he gets to meet both his friends as well as his enemies. But he isn’t capable of recognizing which one is the enemy and which one is his well-wisher.

Insights into Jeff Lemire’s Novel
Post-apocalyptic fantasy has always been the most popular genre in comic book history. Fans love to see the exciting stories of survival. The story of Sweet Tooth mainly takes place on a planet a long time ago, even before the point of devastation. It follows a boy who’s having deer-like features in him.
He tries to find a way for himself to live in this entirely different world. He wants his dreams and visions to help him in this regard, but he isn’t sure about them as well. The first of the Sweet series also followed the same boy with deer-like features. Since such guys are not ordinary for the people of this world, they try to imprison him, for which the boy is afraid. He wants someone whom he can trust to survive in this post-apocalyptic world.
Sweet Tooth: How is the Series Going to be?
It is no less than an achievement for a series like Sweet Tooth to join the likes of I Am Not Okay With This and The End of The F**king World. Both these series are non-superhero graphic novels. The show will have eight episodes for this season. Sweet Tooth will hopefully gain the same love, affection, and attention from the fans as the other non-superhero graphic novel adaptations.
