Netflix has just released the trailer of the 2nd season of one of everyone’s most-favorite shows: The Witcher. The basis of the series is the novels of Andrzej Sapkowski. The trailer of 2nd season has hinted at the return of Geralt of Rivia. The series also roams around Geralt while he’s traveling around The Continent. He gets to face some supernatural and strange enemies there.
How It All Started For The Witcher Show?
The novels didn’t get a really good response even in their home country, Poland. So, they decided to make a movie named Witcher, but the idea got changed later, and they decided to make a series, courtesy of one of the executives at the streaming platform. Cavill signed a contract in the later part of 2018, which helped the show in making a solid and effective debut. The viewership on Netflix kept on increasing.
Right after this, the making of season 2 and a spin-off movie Nightmare of the Wolf were announced. In the meantime, they announced to make a live-action series named Blood Origin as well. Taking into account the delays in the second season’s production, fans are hoping that it’ll be more interesting than the previous one.

The main highlight is that The Witcher’s new trailer has hinted at the return of Geralt of Rivia. However, this is the only thing revealed in the teaser trailer that too in a vague manner. Obviously, there is a lot more to come. The showrunner of The Witcher, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, has revealed that most of the characters will interact with one another in the upcoming season.
Fans didn’t get to see the same in the previous season, so this is obviously exciting. Prior to the main narrative of the show, the short stories helped establish the characters and the universe. So, there is a greater chance that The Witcher season 2 will focus more on the main narrative.
Clues About The Witcher Season 2
With all this ahead, fans are expecting to see some more exciting stories in the show. One of the clues from the trailer is a golden-colored lion embroidered on Ciri’s robes. This shows that she is keeping Cintra very close to her heart, despite having left her clothes behind.
The trailer has also shown one of the characters in full armor from behind. This may be Cahir, the Knight of the Nilfgaardian Empire. He was the leader after Ciri in the first season.
Besides this, Ciri’s powers began to appear in the first season; the same is the case with her visions in the second season.
Another addition to the clues is the presence of runes in Elder Speech. Fans are trying hard to translate those runes. All they’ve got is a city in Narok that refers to the Winter Queen or Ice Tower. But nothing is clear about those runes too. Fans will have to wait for a few months to see what’s next for the show.
