It’s been a while since we heard any news about the Percy Jackson series. The first series had based on a novel released in 2005. This new series will base on a demigod son of Poseidon. He will visit a summer camp accompanying other demigods who will later save the world.

What is the Crew of the Series?
Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are serving as the showrunners of the series. James Bobin, who has directed The Muppets is working on the pilot episode and setting the tone of the whole series. While Dan Hannah an Oscar-winning is serving as production designer. The series has not finalized any actor for Percy Jackson, yet Riordan is reassuring the audience about cast selection. According to him, the casting process is under-taking with chemistry reads.
When will the Series Filming Start?
A new Disney+ young adult fantasy series will start filming on June 1. The original author Rick Riordan has confirmed it. The series is best-selling and focuses on a teenager Percy Jackson. He came to know that he was the son of the ancient Greek God Poseidon. He embarked on a mission to save mythical Titans as there was wreaking havoc across 21st Century Earth.
The series reboot had confirmed in early 2020 by Disney TV. The series has based on the first novel, The Lightning Thief. The author will co-write it that assures the faithfulness and accuracy of the adaptation. It will also follow A Series of Unfortunate Events by Netflix.

Where was Percy Jackson Filmed?
Riordan has clarified how the series is developing and confirmed the shooting of the series. He talked about his trip to LA and Mammoth Studios in Vancouver with his wife Becky on his personal website. He also gave a brief about the production of Percy Jackson. He winded up his post, saying that he would see Vancouver again soon. The filming of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will start on June 1, and hoping all goes as planned.
When will the Series Premier?
Riordan updated the audience about the series. This provisional date is showing that either show’s pre-production is complete or is near to close. His caveat saying “all goes as planned” shows his concerns regarding the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Due to this pandemic, production of many films and TV series have halted for two years. If all goes as planned, it would still be the start of 2023 rather than 2022 when the show premieres on Disney+.
A Trio of Protagonists of the Series
There is some other piece of information from Riordan. He was taking auditions of child actors for the series’ trio of protagonists named Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. He had a meeting with eleven-time Emmy nominee director James Bobin too.

Those anticipated fans that are eagerly waiting for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians feel excited. The announcement of the filming from June 1 is welcome news for them. They can speculate when they will be able to see the first episode based on this start date. When Riordan said that he and his wife Becky would be there one day, he reassured the audience. The author’s disappointment with Percy Jackson shows that he remained busy in the filming process. Still, it is early as there is much time for the series to premiere on Disney. But now the audience has a date when they can begin to expect behind the scene snap-shots.
